Movie madness

A cracking example of modern day stupidity - where the money and the fans are more important than the actual reality of whats happening. And what is happening is a movie's main star can't bring himslf to watch the movie he's in because its too gory and "impactful". Don't you just love his integrity (lack of)... where he thinks its okay to expose all sorts of other demented minds to this (and some that are young and fresh and yet to be demented) when his own sense of what's right tells him not to watch it. Here's the article - check it out here

Too gory ... Costas Mandylor / Nathan Edwards
Star walked away from a viewing
Franchise has raked in $550 million

YOU know a horror film is going to be shocking when the leading star can't bear to watch some scenes. Australian-born actor Costas Mandylor, who stars as
Detective Hoffman in the blood splattering horror franchise Saw, says he walked away when watching a scene from the upcoming sixth instalment featuring a girl getting her head crushed in a metal bar trap. The scene starred Tanedra Howard, who won the part through a reality TV series. "She did a really good job. I didn't watch her do it but I saw some stuff, cause they check everything and I couldn't look at it," Mandylor said. "I said that's too much for me, I'm going to go back to my room." The gory horror films, centred around a serial killer called Jigsaw and the traps he sets for victims, have raked in more than $US550 million at the box office worldwide since the original

Not that I'm focusing my cynicism on him.... believe me I cringe at the thought of the producers, directors, investors etc... all that are involved in these sort of money for anything kind of projects.

Excuse me, I need to go count to ten...
